Shown are a comparason of the popular HOF-7 made today and the Meucci Original "Dragon Slayer" Built for the David Howard line of the 80s We believe todays value of this cue is between $700.00 - $900.00 in excellent condiion as is this one. This cue has one shaft with original Ivory ferrule (add 100.00 in value for extra shaft)we based this value on sales and input from other owners and buyers. Photos of the collectable "David Howard Dragon Slayer" Below is comparason of the CURRENT HOF-7 and the David Howard "Dragon Slayer" of the 80s. When we contacted Meucci personnal they say these cues were made in the 80s and were priced at $300+ making this a generally expensive cue for the times .The shield on the original cue was real ivory approx1"x1" and was carried over to the current HOF-7 along with the sword and ball&chain note* the sword is identical but the ball & chain and the gladiator helmet is a little different.The forearm was a stained ebony with the grain very prominant on most early cues also the ivory points and maple veneers make the forearm most distinctive .The newer cue, the HOF-7 has a stained birdseye forarm, black points and red veneers making this a more common style for the meucci line. When the new line of meuccis came out in the mid to late 90s known as the 97 line 97-1thru97-32 the meucci original version was almost cut from the line fortunantly for all meucci cue lovers the popularity of this cue lives on as the HOF-7 and is exactly what it is a HALL OF FAME CUE FROM MEUCCI ORIGINALS!
